Marc Gantier is originally from Normandy and learned his craft in Paris. When visiting the Caveau des Arches in 1992, he instantly knew that he had found “his restaurant”. Its setting under the vaults of an ancient fortified bridge from the 15th century is extraordinary, and Burgundy a fantastic region for anyone who enjoys good wine and food.
The restaurant’s menu is classical, but with a personal touch. The chef likes to work with fresh produce in order to create a simple, yet delicious high-quality cuisine which has earned him two forks in the Michelin guide.
Pride of place, of course, is given to Burgundian specialities made from regional products.
A meal at the Caveau des Arches is first and foremost a great moment of pleasure.
Marc Gantier welcomes you until 10.30 pm to share his passion for cooking and his enviable joviality. His guests are not mistaken and come back often. |
